Beirut City Pop uncovers a remarkable collection of Lebanese private-press and home-circulated cassette recordings from the late 1970s and 1980s. Habibi Funk's ten-track compilation connects the work of Stephanie Stephanou, Force, Andromeda and Games with the shared creative scene surrounding Ziad Rahbani's Bypass Studio. Disco, pop, soul and jazz influences run through songs such as 'You Turn Me On', 'The City' and 'Bossa Blue'.
