Orders

How do I know if an item is in stock?

If a product can be added to your basket, it is normally in stock. If an item is unavailable, it will usually show as sold out.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Contact as as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel your order. If the order has already been dispatched, you may need to return it instead.

I entered the wrong delivery address. What shall I do?

Contact us straight away with your order number and the correct address. If the order has not been despatched we will do our best to update it.

Will I receive an order confirmation?

Yes. You should receive an order confirmation by email shortly after placing your order. Please check your junk or spam folder if you cannot see it.

Delivery

How much is UK delivery?

Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. Free UK delivery is available on orders over £75.00.

How long does UK delivery take?

Orders usually dispatched within 48 hours. Standard UK delivery takes 2-4 working days after dispatch, although this can vary during busy periods.

Can you guarantee delivery on or by a particular date?

Unfortunately not, we make all efforts to dispatch orders as quickly as possible, but exact delivery dates are beyond our contact.

Do you ship internationally?

International delivery options are shown at checkout where available. International orders may be subject to import VAT, customs charges, duties or handling fees set by the destination country.

How are vinyl records packed?

Vinyl records are packed carefully using protective mailers and packaging suitable for shipping records. Box sets and larger items are packed according to their size and weight.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

Contact us as soon as possible with your order number and photos of the damaged item, outer packaging and any damaged corners or contents. This helps us resolve the issue quickly.

My order has not arrived. What should I do?

Check your dispatch email and tracking information if available. If the order is later than expected, contact us with your order number and we will look into it.

Pre-Orders

How do pre-orders work?

Pre-order items are dispatched once they become available. Release dates can change if a label, distributor or supplier moves the date.

What happens if I order in-stock items with a pre-order?

If your order contains a pre-order item, the full order may be dispatched together once the pre-order is available. For separate dispatches, please place separate orders.

Can I cancel a pre-order?

Contact us if you need to cancel a pre-order. If it has not been dispatched, we will usually be able to cancel it.

Returns & Refunds

Can I return an item if I change my mind?

Yes. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receiving it, you then have a further 14 days to return the item after telling us you want to cancel.

Who pays for return postage?

Customers are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or we sent the wrong item.

Can I return opened vinyl or CDs?

Opened items can usually only be returned if they are faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described.

When will I receive my refund?

Refunds are processed after the returned item has been received and checked. Refunds are made to the original payment method.

Products

Are you records new or used?

Unless clearly stated otherwise items sold by I Want Music are new.

Are vinyl records sealed?

Most new vinyl records are supplied sealed, but this can vary by label, distributor or format.

What does coloured vinyl mean?

Coloured vinyl refers to records pressed on coloured, clear, splatter, marble or other non-standard vinyl. Product titles and descriptions will state the colour where confirmed.

What does limited edition mean?

Limited edition usually means the release has been produced in limited quantity or as a specific variant. Where possible, edition details are included on the product page.

Can you source a record that is not listed?

Contact us with the artist, title and format, and we will let you know if we can help.

Payments & Security

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay using the payment methods shown at checkout. These may include major debit and credit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other available, shown options.

Is checkout secure?

Yes. Payments are processed securely through Shopify checkout and supported payment providers.

Do you store my card details?

No. Card payments are handled securely by Shopify and payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.

Account & Emails

Do I need an account to order?

No. You can check out securely without creating an account.

Why have I not received an email?

Please check your spam or junk folder. Also make sure the email address entered at checkout was correct. If you still cannot find it, contact us with your name and order details.
