Lollo Rosso is not a throwaway remix add-on. It reframes Cold & Bouncy through the ears of Mouse On Mars, Jim O'Rourke, Kid Loco, Cornelius and others, turning familiar High Llamas material into something hazier, stranger and more rhythm-led. The album still carries Sean O'Hagan's melodic signature, but the remakes push it toward downtempo electronics and more exploratory textures. For listeners who like their pop architecture bent into new shapes, this is one of the more interesting remix LPs of its era.
