Released in 1992, Congregation is where The Afghan Whigs' rough-edged alternative rock began to open up to a deeper soul and psychedelic pull. The terse 'Her Against Me' gives way to 'I'm Her Slave' and 'Turn On The Water'; later, 'Conjure Me' and 'Miles Iz Ded' show the group's growing emotional range. Reissued here on two Pearl Flip/Horizon vinyl LPs.
