Masakatsu Takagi's score for Mirai is full of motion, wonder and small emotional turns, moving from miniature piano pieces to warm ensemble passages without losing its sense of intimacy. Short themes like Sweet Spirit, Petal and Water Memory feel light on their feet, but the album holds together as a full soundtrack rather than a sketchbook.
