Sleep Research Facility's Nostromo is an exercise in deep, sustained dark ambience, with slow-moving low frequencies and restrained industrial textures creating an enclosed science-fiction atmosphere. Conceived as a continuous journey through five 'Deck' pieces, the recording first appeared in 2001.
This 2007 Cold Spring CD reissue adds the sixth piece 'Narcissus'. It is the six-track reissue, not the original five-track version.
