On Everything in Readiness, the nine musicians of Shovel Dance Collective pull traditional folk into restless new shapes. Banjo, fiddle, harp, brass, field recordings and tape textures give old songs a living, communal force, from Jer the Rigger to the sprawling Bold Captain Avery. The group's third album is presented on black bio-vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.
