Originally issued in 1999, Manamoon catches Serani Poji in brilliantly odd shape: part Shibuya-kei curio, part house-pop daydream, part game-world detour. The album was created for Sega's Roommania #203, and it still sounds playful, precise and slightly unreal in the best way.
There is sweetness here, but also real studio craft - soft vocals, clipped rhythm programming and tunes that never stop tilting sideways.
