Ry Cooder's Paris, Texas soundtrack is a sparse 1985 film score built around slide guitar, blues feeling and wide-open ambient space. The title theme establishes its solitary mood, with Cancion Mixteca, Houston In Two Seconds and Dark Was The Night extending the record's stark, cinematic language. This limited audiophile edition spreads the soundtrack across four vinyl sides.
