Waiting For A Summer Storm is a lyrical modern jazz set that values melody as much as interplay. Ramon van Merkenstein and company keep the record fluid and conversational, with tunes like Epiphany, Shadow Song and Chez Lydia carrying just as much atmosphere as technical command. A warm, thoughtful trio LP that rewards front-to-back listening.
