Minneapolis five-piece Porch Light introduce themselves with Hush, a debut album built on bold guitar lines, urgent rhythms and big, direct choruses. Jackie Uhas' vocals give tracks such as 'Arctic', 'Paranoia' and 'Mary's Got a Gun' a tense emotional edge, while 'Living Room Blues' and 'Baggage' show the band's range across eleven songs. An energetic contemporary indie-rock record that favours impact over polish.
