Mulatu Plays Mulatu finds Mulatu Astatke returning to some of the compositions most closely tied to his catalogue and opening them out with a larger ensemble sound. The modal warmth of Ethio-jazz is still right at the centre, but there is extra weight in the arrangements, with brass, rhythm and space all working in wider detail than a straight revisit. Zelesenga, Yekermo Sew and Motherland make the case immediately. Far from a victory lap, this feels like a fresh reading from an artist still shaping his own language.

Returned items must be unopened, unused, and in their original sealed packaging, in fully resaleable condition.
