Midori Hirano's newly composed soundtrack to Nietzchka Keene's The Juniper Tree moves between spare piano figures, delicate synthesiser tones and moments of charged silence. Created for a contemporary presentation of the film, its restrained atmosphere draws out the story's Icelandic landscapes, uncanny visions and family bonds. This limited black-vinyl LP includes all 16 pieces, from the title theme to Forever In The Sky.
