Stena is Matchess' 2024 cassette work, paired conceptually with Whitney Johnson's Hav and focused on psychoacoustic sound. Found recordings, sustained frequencies, drones and newly composed passages are assembled into an immersive ambient collage whose details shift between environmental trace and electronic tone.
