First released in 1971, Garra catches Marcos Valle at a particularly sharp point - melodic and easy on the surface, but with plenty going on underneath. Samba pulse, jazz colour, soul phrasing and a subtly political edge all sit inside these arrangements. "Jesus Meu Rei", "Black Is Beautiful" and "Que Bandeira" are standouts, but the album works best as a full listen, with Valle moving between breezy hooks and richer, more reflective material.

We accept returns on vinyl records provided you contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and return the item within a further 14 days.
Returned items must be unopened, unused, and in their original sealed packaging, in fully resaleable condition.
We are unable to accept returns for opened vinyl records unless the item is faulty or has arrived damaged.
