Lynda Dawn's 'Roses' is slow-motion disco-soul with real patience in the groove, originally shaped during the Extra Soul Perception camp in Nairobi and paired here with a smart XL Middleton version on the flip. The original keeps things warm and aching; the reverse gives it a different pulse without losing the song's centre.
