Swiss Movement captures Les McCann and Eddie Harris live at Montreux in 1969 and the spark is immediate. The performances are lean, funky and wide awake, with 'Compared To What' still sounding like one of the great jazz-soul opening statements on record. Spread across four sides here, the set keeps the room sound and the live snap front and centre. Essential stuff if you like your jazz with groove and bite.
