Sougi+ gathers Kiyoaki Iwamoto's stark early work into a compact vinyl set that lands somewhere between skeletal post-punk, minimal electronics and damaged pop instinct. The material from the early 1980s still sounds raw and close-miked, and the added Birei performance gives the record an even stranger second half.
