Grow A Pear finds JD Pinkus stretching Americana outward into stranger territory. Juno's review points to heavy psychedelia, drum & bass grooves and bouncy boogie, and that off-center spirit runs right through the record, from the quick-hit hooks of Heaven As Fuck and Charmer to the looser back-half turns.
