Jan Garbarek's 1998 double album Rites is a spacious meeting of saxophone, electronic colour and folk-rooted melody. The graceful interplay with Bugge Wesseltoft's keyboards gives way to unexpected textures and vocal moments; 'Where The Rivers Meet' and 'Moon Over Mtatsminda' make especially absorbing stops. This heavyweight ECM edition includes a booklet and insert.
