This vinyl-only EP reworks material from James Mason's 1977 landmark Rhythm Of Life, pulling a rare groove cornerstone back onto the floor without losing the original warmth. Dego, Yukari BB and DJ Mitsu The beats all come at the source from different angles, but the thread running through the record is still Mason's melodic, jazz-funk touch. Free gets two strong reshapes, Good Thing turns smoother and heavier, and Mbewe closes things out with a mellow but sturdy pulse.
