Mwandishi marks the start of Herbie Hancock's early 1970s electric period, where long-form improvisation, electronics and collective interplay begin to take over from the tighter structures of the Blue Note years. Even with only three pieces, it covers a lot of ground - meditative, cosmic, rhythmic and deeply immersive without ever feeling static. It is a key entry point into the Mwandishi band and one of the albums that maps Hancock's move into deeper fusion territory.

We accept returns on vinyl records provided you contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and return the item within a further 14 days.
Returned items must be unopened, unused, and in their original sealed packaging, in fully resaleable condition.
We are unable to accept returns for opened vinyl records unless the item is faulty or has arrived damaged.
