Helheim's earliest years are gathered here in one place, pairing the Nidr Ok Nordr Liggr Helvegr demo from 1994 with the self-titled 1993 demo. The set captures the band before their later expansion in scope, locked into raw Norwegian black metal with a strong Bathory shadow, primitive momentum, and the cold atmosphere that made those first documents matter. As an archival 2xLP, it works both as a historical snapshot and as a look at the roots of Helheim's identity.
