A proper scarce-floor classic back on 7, Trying To Survive still lands with all the urgency of mid-70s Midwest funk - tight rhythm section, hard vocal edge and no wasted movement.

Bump Your Thang on the flip is every bit as useful, which is why this works as more than a nostalgia piece. A killer two-sider with real collector pull and real dancefloor value.
