Gotho take the loose, narrative sprawl suggested by the title and turn it into a genuinely playful instrumental trip. Gothron Versus Fartark moves through prog, synth-led weirdness and heady rhythm changes, but it never feels academic - the whole thing has motion, humour and a real sense of world-building. For a record this out-there, it is surprisingly easy to sink into, especially once the side-long arc starts to reveal itself.
