Danish vocalist and composer Emma Pilgaard gives overlooked women's histories a musical voice on this 2026 album. Her third full-length work moves from intimate melodic passages to exploratory ensemble jazz, with piano, double bass and drums joined by trumpet and vibraphone. 'My Mother' and 'Mistress of the Air' show the project's balance of storytelling and improvisation, making this a thoughtful modern vocal jazz record.
