Heaven Hunters presents Emile Mosseri away from score work and in a more personal, song-led mode, but the cinematic instinct is still there in the way the record unfolds. The arrangements are spacious, the melodies linger, and the whole album carries a soft-focus, reflective feel without drifting into vagueness. It lands as a convincing debut solo LP with its own identity rather than a side note to the soundtrack work.
The title track, Oklahoma Baby and My Greedy Heart give the first side a strong arc, while All For The Bliss and Rosewater help close the set on a warm, searching note. A very easy record to sink into.
