Prophecies Of The Conjoined goes all in on grotesque early-90s death metal worship - blunt-force riffing, thick low end and a concept soaked in pulp sci-fi body horror. It is nasty in exactly the right way, but the record also knows how to pace itself, with the title track, Upon The Mayan Throne and Recombination Sequence Complete giving the album real shape.
