Eels return with another unpredictable chapter of their alternative-rock catalogue. Across Cookie Happened, Mark Oliver Everett moves from dry wit to bruised reflection, dressing vivid little stories in off-centre melodies and grainy, guitar-led arrangements. The opening 'Clobbered' makes an immediate statement; 'All Forgotten' and 'I'm On Standby' reveal the album's quieter emotional pull. This is the standard black vinyl edition in a gatefold sleeve.
