A gorgeous archival set built from Dotti Holmberg recordings cut between the late 1960s and 1970, Sometimes Happy Times lands somewhere between folk-pop intimacy, studio sunshine and softly psychedelic songwriting. The mix of demos and finished productions gives it real texture: I Sing My Song and Sea Of Tears have a homespun glow, while Sometimes Happy Times and Magic Carpet Ride show the richer, dreamier side of the material.
