Pesten Som Tar Over is a seven-track Den Saakaldte album with real weight and a nasty sense of atmosphere. The material was recorded in 2022, and the sound lands somewhere between black metal severity, dissonant edges and a grim, rolling groove that keeps the album moving even at its bleakest. 'Av Satans Ild', the title track and 'Den Stormen I Oktober' are major markers, but the whole sequence works as one dark, deliberate arc. This is a 2020s chapter that feels fully formed rather than transitional.
