Originally released in 1971, Demian is one of those cult hard-psych records that earns its reputation quickly. The band keep things stripped to the essentials - guitars, bass, drums and pressure - and that direct setup gives Face The Crowd, Windy City and Love People plenty of room to bite.
There is a loose, late-night feel running through the whole LP, but it still hits with real weight. A fine reissue for anyone chasing obscure US heavy rock with a psychedelic edge.
