Crowbar's Sever the Wicked Hand marks the New Orleans band's 2011 return with a collection of grinding sludge metal. The opening 'Isolation (Desperation)' gives way to the punishing title track, while 'The Cemetery Angels' and 'Symbiosis' show the album moving between deliberate heaviness and forceful momentum. Kirk Windstein's harsh vocals and thick guitar riffs remain central throughout.
This single-CD reissue brings the twelve-song album back into circulation, retaining the original sequence.
