Recorded at New York's Village Vanguard in 1967 and first issued in 1982, California Here I Come catches Bill Evans with bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Philly Joe Jones. Jones's insistent swing draws a sharper edge from Evans on Turn Out The Stars, G Waltz and the title tune. This Verve Vault double-LP edition brings the intimate, animated live trio performance to 180-gram vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.
