Dual Unity captures Annette Peacock and Paul Bley in a live, open-ended state, recorded in Bremen in 1971 and first issued in 1972. Peacock's voice and electronics meet Bley's piano in a set that feels volatile, conversational and completely unforced, moving from the concentrated pull of 'M.J' to the long-form shape shifting of the title piece. It is a key document of early free improvisation from two singular players.
