Jumping The Shark is where Alex Cameron's sharp songwriting persona first fully locks into place. The record has the cheap neon glow and dry wit that would define later releases, but the songs themselves are already strong enough to carry the whole thing. 'Happy Ending', 'Gone South' and 'She's Mine' give the LP its crooked charm, while the slower moments stop it turning into a one-note concept.
SIDE ONE:
1. Happy Ending
2. Gone South
3. Real Bad Lookin'
4. The Comeback
SIDE TWO:
1. She's Mine
2. Internet
