The Midnight Hour: Lost Tapes brings to light sessions Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad began for a second Midnight Hour album around 2020, before work on Jazz Is Dead took priority. Across nine tracks, the duo blend an acoustic rhythm section with orchestral textures, warm keyboard tones and soul-influenced arrangements. Harmony and The Midnight Stroll open the set, which closes with Moreno.
